Well, it's been quite a year for WiFi Scotland. We have brought our service to Kinloss, Roseisle, Mulben and Boharm as well as having our fibre connection installed in Elgin which will allow us to launch higher speed packages in the new year.
We have a number of plans for 2019 which we are looking forward to completing, but in the meantime we are ready for some time off so we are now closed until Monday 7th January. We will still be providing support over the holiday period so if you have an issue with your connection please get in touch and we will get you sorted.
We would like to thank you for your custom in 2018 and look forward to bringing many more of you online in 2019.
We are pleased to announce that we have now received confirmation that the BDUK Broadband Voucher Scheme has been continued for another year, until December 2019. This means that we can continue to provide subsidised installations to qualifying customers into 2019.
In addition, we will be learning more about the Scottish Government's R100 program over the first quarter of 2019 and what role Wireless providers such as ourselves will be able to play in helping to bring everyone in Scotland up to superfast speeds.
All together, these schemes will continue to benefit communities who currently suffer from poor broadband speeds and we are pleased to be able to play our part in speeding up Scotland's connectivity. ... See MoreSee Less

Any chance of getting to Easter Manbeen? We're only two miles from Elgin but sometimes our broadband is slower than the Dial-up modem that we had 25 years ago!!! Think we just miss out on a voucher as we are supposed to get just over 2

We are currently seeing connectivity issues at our Elgin core which will be affecting customers on our Brown Muir, Linkwood, Mulben and Balnellan masts. Initial investigations point to an issue with our upstream connectivity and we are raising this with our connection providers. We will post an update when we have further information.

We are planning permanent power at our brownmuir mast. Solar power has served us well but as we progress and expand we strive for something more robust, the sun has been kind to us this summer but we can't be so sure in these upcoming shorter winter months!
Good progress has been made at Balnellan farm, our brackets are up with help from the lads at Balnellan and electrics being installed by a local Mulben resident. We will be wiring, configuring and testing the equipment tomorrow (Thursday the 13th) ready for rollout to Maggieknockater and beyond.
We really appreciate the patience and the help we've had from the residents of Mulben during the rollout of this project, it's taken us longer than we had expected but it's been a learning curve!
One of us here at WiFi Scotland will soon be moving to Mulben...having spent around a year working in the area we reckon there'a no better place to move a family!
We are aware of connectivity issues currently affecting our Elgin/Mulben customers.
