We are continuing to have power issues at our Brown Muir mast site. As such we will be cutting power to some of our kit which may result in no service until tomorrow morning. We'll be back on site around 6am to continue working on the fault. Apologies for the inconvenience. ... See MoreSee Less

The maiden voyage of our new WiFi vehicle. Wish we had one of these from the start 😀
We are planning permanent power at our brownmuir mast. Solar power has served us well but as we progress and expand we strive for something more robust, the sun has been kind to us this summer but we can't be so sure in these upcoming shorter winter months!
Good progress has been made at Balnellan farm, our brackets are up with help from the lads at Balnellan and electrics being installed by a local Mulben resident. We will be wiring, configuring and testing the equipment tomorrow (Thursday the 13th) ready for rollout to Maggieknockater and beyond.
We really appreciate the patience and the help we've had from the residents of Mulben during the rollout of this project, it's taken us longer than we had expected but it's been a learning curve!
One of us here at WiFi Scotland will soon be moving to Mulben...having spent around a year working in the area we reckon there'a no better place to move a family!
We are aware of connectivity issues currently affecting our Elgin/Mulben customers. We are still investigating at present but the issue appears to belong to our upstream provider so we are working with them to identify and resolve the issue and restore connectivity to those affected. ... There's lots going on here at WiFi Scotland at present. We are currently working on the second part of our Mulben coverage and have also had the planning permission granted for our core mast South of Elgin which means we can swap out our 3 metre pole welded to a trailer for a proper 12 metre mast.
But the most important thing going on right now is the testing of our new fibre connection! While we've been waiting (and waiting, and waiting...) for Openreach to install the fibre, we have been running on two smaller connections and as we've been getting more people connected it's starting to groan under the weight of all the traffic. Thankfully the line is now installed and we are now working with our upstream provider to make sure everything is working correctly before we start moving users over to it.
Once we start moving users, it will take a wee while to get everyone moved across but rest-assured we'll be working to get it done as quickly as possible (unlike Openreach!). ... See MoreSee Less
We had a day out today at Innoflate, Scotland's first inflatable theme park to test the place out. Several days were spent last weekend running several kilometres of network cable and installing networking, WiFi and CCTV systems for them.
Today, however, we got to have a shot on the park and it's well worth a trip! ... See MoreSee Less
